MR. HUONG Nontarak

Mr. Nontarak is a dedicated and highly motivated professional with a good educational background and diverse work experiences in the field of agriculture. He obtained a Master of Science in Agro- and Environmental Nematology from Ghent University under the scholarship offered by the Flemish Government, where he demonstrated a deep understanding of the subject and a passion for sustainable agricultural practices. Prior to his master’s degree, Nontarak earned a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from the Royal University of Agriculture.

Nontarak has gained considerable experience in agricultural research and extension from his previous positions. After his bachelor’s studies, he worked as a Research Assistant for three years in the Division of Research and Extension at the university. As a a Country Coordinator at the Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Africa and Asia (RIMES), Nontarak gained hands-on knowledge in the implementation and evaluation of agricultural projects and played a crucial role in coordinating and implementing programs and projects in Cambodia. His internships in Kenya and Germany offered him a great opportunity to explore and learn more about relevant aspects in those regions.
